Give and Take reflects a split path. On one side, a figure descends into the belly of the beast—the vessel itself—entering a chalice through a portal suspended by two celestial beings, as if undergoing a test or trial.
On the reverse, a split illustration—half blue for the forces of good, half black for the forces of evil—depicts two possible outcomes after emerging from the chalice. A two-headed snake, also divided, reinforces this duality: one head symbolizes peace and life, the other, death. While it recalls the form of the ouroboros, this serpent doesn’t suggest an eternal loop but rather the full circle of choice and consequence—a decisive moment where paths diverge, and outcomes are sealed.
Along the sides of the vessel, guardian figures stand between the two realms, separating and protecting.
